It is with great sadness that we report that Brian passed away on Friday 2 February 2007.
Brian was one of the original members of staff of Jesmond, starting at Cooks Hill Girls School with the first intake in 1956 and then transferring to the Janet Street site in September of that year.
Brian taught at Jesmond until 1960 and continued a distinguished career including Inspector of Schools in the Hunter Region.
Brian was larger than life at the 50th Anniversary Celebrations. Not only did he write off his car on the way to the dinner on the Saturday evening but he also managed to upstage Denise our entertainer (not a mean feat!!) with yet another tale of life at Jesmond in the early days. Brian is seen pictured right at the Anniversary Dinner
